“Heart of Darkness” is one of the important works that form part of English Literature. The story runs around the adventures of Charles Marlow, an Englishman on a foreign assignment from a Belgian trading firm to act as ferry boat captain in Africa.
“Heart of Darkness” presented the dark angle that resides in the hearts of Europeans during the colonization years. The book showed the cruelty of Europeans on African natives and other heinous acts of evil that you can imagine.
Being a captain who brings ivory down the river of Congo, Marlow in the story has another mission which is to return another trader named Kurtz to human society.
